What inspired this pattern?

LITA draws on the elegance of antique Indian chintzes. Across a background scattered with tiny leaves, delicate scrolls curl around graceful blossoms: vibrant in lavender, turquoise and saffron yellow on electric blue, softly botanical on sage green. On the reverse, matching stripes bring a more graphic note, while a contrasting binding traces its flower-shaped scalloped edges.
