Hand woven towel / 39,4 x 78,7 inches
Parfum du Sud , sunshine & shades of ochre for a vibrant summer !
South India evokes sunshine, palm trees and spices. Chettinad, a very special area in this region, is the inspiration for our Summer 2020 collection. Usha, our founder, is a big fan of the Chettinad cuisine, and fell in love with the very special architecture of the region. Famous for the villas built by the wealthy trading & banking community, the Chettiars, this part of India has a tradition for making exquisite tiles called the Athangudi tiles.
This summer, discover the colors of Chettinad - stunning ochre, beautiful pinks, classic blue and shades of sunny orange. Imagine yourself on an early morning walk in a quiet village waking up to sounds of children’s laughter & smells of aromatic spices wafting from the intricately decorated Chettiar homes.
This hand made cotton towel is woven in South India. Made from pure cotton, it is extremely hygienic to use as it dries very fast and is super absorbent and comfortable at the same time.
Can be used as a bath towel, or a beach accessory. Makes a perfect travel companion. Comes in a white color with brightly woven borders in different colors.
