Details
This beige printed cotton napkin is designed in Paris and hand block printed in India by expert artisans. Block printing is an ancestral technique from Rajasthan in the West of India. It consists of hand printing fabric using carved wooden blocks.
This piece uses the Bagru technique of printing dark patterns using natural dyes on a beige background. Before dyeing, the fabric is soaked in a natural mordant made from the myrobalan fruit and which binds color to the fabric and gives it a distinct yellowish color. Natural shades of red are created by mixing varying proportions of alum, madder and acacia arabica. Alum is used for greys and fermented waste iron, jaggery, and water for blacks.
This beige printed cotton napkin will delight you with its unique aesthetics and irregularities of the fabric that make it even more special. Its pretty terracotta graphic pattern will add an elegant colorful note to your boho chic interior. It will be the perfect accessories for your dining room decor with your family and friends.
